Black Pelican Limited – The story of Black Pelican Limited began with a need. A need to find high quality bathroom solutions in Nigeria for a family home. A need to create a place of refuge for a young couple and their growing children. This need took us on a search that led outside the country to a business called ‘Tapitalia’ in Sandton mall. It became apparent that many other Nigerians had made a similar pilgrimage to Tapitalia for their bathrooms and kitchen fittings. The gap in the Nigerian market for high quality bathroom fittings became apparent at this time as most homeowners were forced to go to Coker market in Orile for their needs or seek solutions in other parts of the world in order to get the quality they desire. The BPL idea sought to fill this gap by providing high quality products, with utmost professionalism to discerning customers.

Job Title: Sales Team Lead

Job Description

• Identify and approach potential clients, and convert enquiries from potential clients to sales.
• Manage or escalate appropriate customer complaints.
• Develop and cascade sales and marketing activities to ensure awareness of the company among target customer groups.
• Prepare proposals and quotations for the provision of total bathroom solutions, working with the Bagno Technik team in preparing installation proposals.
• Analyze customers’ needs and collect customers’ information to recommend products to improve sales.
• Ensure clients are offered professional and quality service to increase sales.
• Maintain comprehensive database information on all existing relationships and prospects in liaison with information systems, and financial control functions.
• Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
• Perform sales and marketing duties as directed by the Divisional head.
• Building and maintaining rapport with key clients; Hospitality, Corporate bodies, Fitness & Gym Outfits, Contractors, and Individuals, identifying new opportunities
• Negotiate contracts for purchases and manage, renew, and review contracts as required to enable effective customer/supplier relations.
• Develop and maintain relevant internal liaisons, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Comply with performance objectives and targets provided.
• Proactively liaise with the Inventory Team in obtaining the real-time inventory position.
• Contribute to developing new sales strategies/techniques to attract new customers to the showroom.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of annual in-house exhibitions and conferences, as a deliberate sales/marketing strategy.
• Support team members in pitching for and closing viable projects.
• Compile Weekly Team Reports.
• Present MPR reports on behalf of Divisional Head when necessary.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 – 6 years of work experience.
