Yobante Express Inc. is an African-based company founded by two Senegalese, headquartered in Delaware, USA, with subsidiaries in Senegal, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. Yobante Express is a Marketplace that connects local couriers with local commerce to solve the biggest problems in emerging markets: domestic, cross-border and last mile delivery. Our web and mobile platform uses Machine Learning and Gig-economy with independent and occasional couriers and, a “resilient mesh network” of +600 relay points, to deliver packages at 40% cheaper, 2X faster and more efficiently than existing solutions.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a motivated and result-driven Senior Sales Officer to join our growing team. We are seeking a candidate who is persuasive, energetic and ready to go the extra mile to generate and convert leads and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify potential business opportunities and target market for products and services.
  • Cultivating solid relationships with major customers to ensure a continuous flow of sales revenues.
  • Identifying promising prospects through cold & warm calling, networking, and customer referrals.
  • Ensuring that all sales administration and customer service activities run smoothly.
  • Maintaining accurate records of total number of sales made
  • Analyze sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective.
  • Develop strategies for more effective sales, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Apply understanding of market trends/business practices in taking decisions necessary for enhancing the sales process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven Sales Management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, Google Apps and Slack.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to meet and / or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
