Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Lagos
Industry: FMCG (Edible Oil)

Job Summary

  • The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving bulk sales performance for edible oil products within the assigned territory.
  • This includes developing effective sales strategies, managing key accounts, expanding market coverage, and achieving volume, revenue, and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow bulk edible oil sales within the assigned region.
  • Manage and expand key accounts to ensure strong business relationships and consistent order generation.
  • Conduct regular market visits to gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for volume and revenue growth.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, taking corrective action when required.
  • Prepare timely sales reports, market insights, and performance dashboards.
  • Recommend improvements in pricing, product mix, promotions, and market approach.
  • Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely stock availability and delivery.
  • Oversee distributor management including stock levels, order cycles, and route-to-market efficiency.

Requirements

  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales, preferably in FMCG or bulk edible oil sales.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, analytical thinking, and relationship-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and thrive in a field sales environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with digital sales tools is an added advantage.
  • Fluency in the local language is an added advantage.
