Job Title: Sales Manager – Travel Agency

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities / Duties

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
• Identify, prospect, and onboard new corporate clients, SMEs, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Manage and grow existing client accounts to ensure retention and repeat business.
• Lead, train, mentor, and motivate the sales team.
• Promote and sell all travel products: Flight Tickets (Local & International), Tour Packages, Hotel Reservations, Visa Assistance, Travel Insurance, Hajj/Umrah, Study Abroad.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, hotels, embassies, and other travel vendors.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, pricing trends, and competitor activities.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.
• Negotiate corporate travel deals and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle escalated client complaints/issues.
• Collaborate with Marketing team to develop campaigns, promotions, and social media sales drives.
• Represent the company at travel fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.

Experience

• 4 – 6 years proven experience in travel agency sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a travel agency.
• Must have an existing portfolio of corporate clients / network.
• Experience in handling corporate accounts and large travel budgets.

Other Requirements:

• Must reside in Lagos (Mainland / Island axis with easy commute)
• Must be willing to travel for client meetings and business development
• Must be available to work weekends (remote) / after hours when required due to client travel needs
• Smart, presentable, and articulate
• Must have a valid international passport
• Age: 28 – 40 years
• Can resume immediately or with short notice.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
• Proven leadership and team management ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Deep knowledge of Amadeus / Galileo / Sabre GDS is compulsory
• In-depth knowledge of travel products, IATA rules, airline routes and fares
• Customer-focused with ability to build long-term relationships
• Target-driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented
• Good presentation and proposal writing skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
• Digital marketing and social media selling is an added advantage.
