We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Executive

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We currently seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to join our team. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building relationships with customers
  • literary agents, booksellers, and promoting our online bookstore to book lovers worldwide.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Report to the Head of Sales
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets through strategic customer engagement and effective sales techniques.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers literary agents, booksellers and distributors to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through email, phone, and chat support.
  • Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling.
  • Pitch titles to booksellers, wholesalers, and online retailers.
  • Negotiate sales terms, discounts, and promotions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market changes.
  • Analyze sales data to optimize sales strategies and improve market penetration.
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and publicity teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote titles.-

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Mass Communication or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the book publishing industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong relationships with literary agents, booksellers, and distributors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms
  • Results Orientation
  • Passion for books and reading (a plus!).
