Job Title: Sales Executive (FMCG)

Location: Apapa GRA, Lagos

Description

  • GT Imports is urgently looking to hiring a sales executive with experience in the FMCG sector ( cosmetic, soap, detergent and plastic raw material).
  • This is a purely sales role, and candidates with good knowledge of Lagos, and a strong grasp of selling the FMCG products listed above would be considered.
  • This is an urgent hiring need, applicant must be willing to attend a physical interview on Thursday, July 3rd 2025

Job Summary

  • The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth, developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and distributors, and achieving sales targets for the company’s FMCG products, including cosmetics, soaps, detergents, and raw materials. The role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets and market share objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both retail and wholesale markets.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts while building long-term relationships.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to customers and distributors.
  • Follow up on leads and convert prospects into active customers.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to implement promotional activities and ensure brand visibility.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely delivery of products to clients.
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and service agreements with clients.
  • Provide timely sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints and after-sales support.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG sector (cosmetics, soap, detergent, or related products).
  • Strong knowledge of the Nigerian FMCG market and distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within assigned territories.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 / month.
