Mikano International is Nigerian company in the power generation, automobile, steel fabrication sectors. This company offers sales, maintenance, assembly and distribution of power generation products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Engineer

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Kano, Lagos, Oyo, and Rivers

Job Summary

  • A Sales Engineer who would bridge the gap between technical expertise and customer relationship management.
  • They use their engineering knowledge to understand clients’ needs, propose suitable power solutions (generators, transformers), and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales:

  • Identify new business opportunities and potential clients in industrial, commercial, and utility sectors.
  • Promote and sell power generation products such as diesel/gas generators, turbines, and related equipment.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.

Technical Consultation:

  • Understand clients’ technical requirements and recommend suitable power generation solutions.
  • Work with engineering teams to customise solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Provide product demonstrations and explain technical benefits in a clear, business-oriented way

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sales agreements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and after-sales support

Market Research & Strategy:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market developments.
  • Contribute to sales strategies and help expand the company’s market share.
  • Gather feedback from clients to guide product improvement

Project Coordination:

  • Liaise with project management and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and installation of equipment.
  • Support in commissioning and troubleshooting when required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies

Academic Qualifications

  • B.Eng / HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of power generation systems (generators, engines, turbines, switchgear).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate technical specifications into customer-focused solutions.
  • Business acumen and target-driven mindset.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with the engineering and service departments.
