Job Description

• Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Risk & Fraud Officer to join its growing team in Lagos.
• We are looking for a professional who can identify emerging fraud risks, investigate suspicious activities, and strengthen controls across betting, payments, customer accounts, and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts, transactions, and betting activities for suspicious patterns.
• Investigate fraud, multi-accounting, bonus abuse, collusion, payment fraud, and other irregular activities.
• Conduct KYC/AML checks and escalate high-risk cases.
• Identify emerging fraud trends and recommend appropriate controls.
• Prepare risk and fraud reports for management.
• Work closely with Compliance, Payments, Customer Service, Trading, and Operations teams.
• Support the development and improvement of fraud prevention procedures.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years’ experience in Risk, Fraud, AML, Compliance, Payments, Banking, Fintech, or Betting/Gaming.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of transaction monitoring and fraud detection.
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement.
• •Ability to analyse customer behaviour and transactional data.
• Experience in the betting/gaming industry is a strong advantage.
