Job Title: Risk and Compliance Analyst

Location: Lagos

Description

• The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting credit evaluation workflows, monitoring risk exposure, improving compliance processes, and preparing accurate reports for management.
• This is an ideal opportunity for an early-to-mid-level professional with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel knowledge, and a keen interest in risk management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver recurring operational and management reports with clear insights.
• Manage and improve compliance investigation workflows, including documentation and tracking.
• Ensure high-priority matters are handled efficiently within established response times.
• Conduct credit risk and financial analysis to support portfolio monitoring and underwriting workflows.
• Prepare accurate and concise materials for leadership reviews.
• Handle analytical and compliance requests from team leads within agreed timelines.
• Identify manual processes and recommend or implement efficiency improvements to reduce errors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a risk, compliance, or financial analysis role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and advanced formulas.
• Experience using data analytics or visualization tools (such as Metabase).
• Strong attention to detail and experience managing reporting or workflow processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Willingness to undergo standard professional background verifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation tools, macros, or Python.
• Experience in regulatory reporting or compliance environments.
• Experience supporting compliance or internal investigations.
• Experience preparing management-level presentations and reports.
