Job Title: Rig Supervisor III

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Rig Supervisor III to oversee drilling and completion operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of well plans.
• The successful candidate will serve as the Company’s representative on the rig site, coordinating personnel, equipment, and services while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and SSHE performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the Company on the rig site and oversee the safe execution of drilling and completion activities.
• Promote and enforce Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) and Operational Integrity (OI) requirements.
• Monitor rig operations to ensure well control procedures are followed and emergency situations are effectively managed.
• Ensure all operational, environmental, security, and emergency drills are conducted as required.
• Verify that drilling and completion procedures are executed in accordance with approved plans and manage changes through the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Coordinate logistics for personnel, equipment, and services required for drilling operations.
• Support operational surveillance, including kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque and drag, mud properties, and solids control.
• Prepare accurate operational reports and coordinate with engineering and geology teams to achieve well objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in rig supervisory or leadership roles within drilling and completion operations.
• Experience working with a major Oil & Gas Operator or Drilling Contractor.
• Valid Well Control Certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced drilling environment.
