Job Title: Retail Accountant

Role Overview

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Retail Accountant to manage financial operations and ensure accurate reporting for our retail operations.
• As a Retail Accountant, you will oversee financial transactions, budgeting, and reporting for our retail operations.
• Your expertise will ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and financial transparency across all retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for retail operations (invoicing, payroll, expenses).
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Track project costs, inventory, and procurement expenses.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Reconcile bank statements and oversee accounts payable/receivable.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and control costs.
• Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience (retail/construction industry preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Expertise in report writing and presentation
• ICAN/ACCA certification is a plus.
