Job Title: Restaurant Hostess

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description

• The Restaurant Hostess is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and seating of all guests in the restaurant, as assigned and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience.
• She is also responsible for assisting in the collection of payments for guest transactions.
• A female applicant that is confident, bold, presentable and beautiful with at least two years of practical working experience as a hostess in a continental restaurant is needed for immediate employment.
• The candidate must reside within the island axis.
• Experience as a waitress will Be a huge advantage.
• Greet and seat our guests.
• Keep host station well maintained; take service orders and reservations.
• Help servers and when needed.
• Have full knowledge of menu selections and know table rotation for wait staff.

Responsibilities

• As a Restaurant Hostess, you will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times in the restaurant.
• Your key responsibilities will include maintaining a proper reservation book, confirming reservations before the operation begins, greeting and escorting guests to the table.
• You will have a good knowledge of the restaurant’s promotions and products and will pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximize sales.

Qualifications

• Most have at least a Degree or Diploma Certification.
• Pleasant personality, presentable, energetic and service-oriented.
• Good understanding of the Food & Beverage Industry standards, policies and procedures
• Minimum of 1-year experience in the same position from a reputable restaurant and or 4 or 5 star hotel property.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal, listening, writing)
• You must be a proactive, adaptable team player who enjoys taking the initiative to drive for results.
• Experience in high-end city operation with multi-unit F&B and large Conference & Event
• Pre-opening experience a strong plus.
• Eager to learn & progress, responsible with the willingness to take ownership.
