Job Title: Research Manager, PA

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Purpose

• The role will contribute to the execution of research projects across different stages of the research process, including research design, questionnaire development, fieldwork coordination, data analysis, desk research, report preparation and presentation development.
• The Research Executive will work closely with Research Managers, Senior Research Executives and other project teams to ensure research assignments are delivered accurately, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. International Relations, Economics, Sociology. Psychology, Mass Communication, Public Administration, Statistics, Marketing, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in public affairs, social research, market research, public opinion research, policy research, communications, consulting, development research or a related field.
• Internship or graduate-level experience in research, consulting, communications, policy or related fields will be considere advantage.

Expertise & Competencies:

• Basic to good understanding of market, social and public opinion research.
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
• Interest in public affairs, social issues, policy. governance and stakeholder research. Ability to conduct desk research and gather information from credible sources.
• Basic data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Good report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate research findings clearly and concisely.
• Good organisational and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with research, data analysis or visualisation tools is an advantage.
