We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Benin City, Edo

Job Description

  • The Governing Council of Wellspring University, Benin City, is seeking a candidate with vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, and transparency in private and public life to fill the position of University Registrar.
  • The Registrar shall hold the office for a term of four years, renewable for another four years.

Qualification and Experience
The candidate who must not be above fifty-five years of age, should possess:

  • Minimum qualification of a Master’s Degree; a professional qualification, an MBA or a doctorate degree will be preferred;
  • Must have at least fifteen (15) years’ cognate/relevant experience in university administration, of which five years should be in a senior management position.

Competencies:

  • The candidate should possess relevant 21st-century skills, including sound report writing skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Exceptional presentation skills;
  • Analytical skills with ability to recognise problems, consider wider implications and present supported conclusions;
  • Sound understanding of database management and electronic document management;
  • Proficiency in the use of communication tools essential for effective communication.

Other Requirements:

  • He/She should be a person of high integrity, who is capable of giving dynamic administrative leadership while building strong and positive relationships with staff, students and the University community.
  • He/she must have strong moral and steady character and should be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of the people.
  • He/She must be a thoroughbred administrator with fully understanding the complexity of the university system, with the drive and ability to work as part of team and on own initiative.
  • He/She must be able to effectively utilize the human and material resources to move the Registry of the University to an enviable global top-class status.
  • He/She must enjoy a robust physical, emotional and mental health to cope with the demands of the Office, and possess ability to pay excellent attention to details able to work under limited supervision and to deliver tasks and projects within time lines.
