We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Regional Security Coordinator (North West)

Location: Kano

Job Description

• Conduct routine inspections of sites to ensure physical protection systems (locks, cameras, guards) are in place and functioning
• Enforce Ntel’s corporate security procedures, visitor control, and emergency response protocols at regional locations
• Coordinate response to site-level threats, vandalism, or intrusions, and escalate where needed
• Respond promptly to site incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, and generate reports
• Document and escalate security breaches, suspicious activities, and operational risks to Security Manager
• Track incident trends and recommend prevention strategies
• Supervise third-party guard services at multiple sites to ensure presence, discipline, and proper conduct
• Verify shift rosters, conduct spot checks, and maintain liaison with guard company supervisors
• Assess guard post performance, patrol records, and logbooks
• Conduct periodic risk assessments at critical installations and new build sites
• Recommend and implement mitigation measures to address vulnerabilities
• Support security planning for site rollouts, relocations, and upgrades in the South West
• Maintain strong working relationships with local police, DSS, civil defense, and other law enforcement
• Represent Ntel in local security briefings or during community engagement on safety-related issues
• Resolve site-level security disputes in a proactive and professional manner
• Ensure compliance with internal reporting standards, patrol log updates, and audit records
• Assist in maintaining up-to-date licenses, permits, and security compliance files
• Support security drills and staff training at local facilities.

Qualification / Experience

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Social Sciences, or related fields
• Security certifications or paramilitary/military training an advantage
• 5+ years experience in industrial or field security, preferably in telecom, logistics, or infrastructure sectors
• Prior experience managing multiple dispersed sites or mobile assets
• Familiarity with South West region terrain, communities, and local risks

Skills and Competencies:

• Field-based surveillance and incident response
• Knowledge of physical security systems and guard deployment practices
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent reporting and written communication abilities
• Good judgment, discretion, and ability to operate independently
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and incident reporting tools.
