Job Title: Recovery and Debt Collections Manager

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Benue
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Recovery and Debt Collections Manager to oversee field recovery operations, manage delinquent accounts, and drive repayment performance across the North Region.
• The ideal candidate has strong leadership, negotiation, and field experience, with a track record of improving portfolio recovery rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage regional debt recovery and collection teams.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce defaults.
• Conduct field visits to assess portfolio quality and recover overdue payments.
• Collaborate with Sales and Risk teams on repossessions and delinquency control.
• Investigate and report cases of fraud or unethical practices.
• Train and guide field agents on collections and repossession procedures.
• Track collection metrics and prepare regular performance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Finance, Business, Credit Risk, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in debt recovery, field collections, or credit control (Microfinance, Fintech, or Banking).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven experience managing field-based teams.
• Strong knowledge of the Northern region and willingness to travel extensively.
