Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects.
• The ideal candidate will oversee cost estimation, budget control, procurement, and contract administration to ensure project delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets.
• Oversee project finances including valuations, cash flow forecasts, and cost tracking.
• Conduct feasibility studies, value engineering, and risk analysis.
• Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and contract agreements.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contract terms.
• Monitor project progress and manage variations and cost control.
• Provide support on contractual claims and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders for cost efficiency.
• Deliver financial reports and updates to management and clients.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• Professional membership with NIQS, RICS, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar construction-related role.
• Solid understanding of standard forms of contracts (FIDIC, JCT, NEC, etc.).
• Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and QS software such as CostX or WinQS.
• High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
