We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities 

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility reports for construction projects.
• Analyze project risks and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in contract administration, including negotiating terms with vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Oversee procurement activities and validate supplier quotations.
• Provide insights on cost control and financial forecasting for ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to optimize project efficiency.
• Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids to select the best contractors.
• Maintain up-to-date records of project expenditures and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, building codes, and company

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector.
• Strong analytical and financial management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, procurement processes, and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, Costx, or Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, and teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of building regulations and industry standard policies
