Cormart is a leading specialty chemicals company in Nigeria that is active in the production and sales/marketing of chemicals and raw materials such as paint, glues & adhesives, oil lubricants, breweries, distilleries, beverage, food, confectionaries, cosmetics, and personal and home care chemicals. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Manager (Chemical)

Location: Ogun

Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Manager to oversee all aspects of quality assurance and quality control within our organization.
  • The Quality Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain quality control processes for incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to monitor performance trends and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on quality assurance procedures and best practices for employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting quality management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP).
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining quality management systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence change.
