Job Title: Quality Control / Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Department: Quality Control / Quality Assurance

Role Overview

• We are looking for a technically strong QC / QA Officer with a Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related background and practical manufacturing quality-control experience.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that raw materials, production processes and finished products consistently meet required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess incoming raw materials.
• Conduct quality tests on raw materials and finished products.
• Monitor quality throughout the production process.
• Maintain laboratory, inspection and quality records.
• Identify defects, deviations and non-conformities.
• Investigate root causes of quality issues.
• Develop and follow corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with Production to prevent recurring quality problems.
• Monitor product parameters including dimensions, density, bonding, surface finish and other applicable specifications.
• Develop and maintain QC checklists and procedures.
• Monitor appropriate storage and handling practices.
• Investigate and respond to customer quality complaints.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Prepare quality reports and recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

• BSc / HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of practical QC/QA experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrable laboratory/testing experience.
• Experience in chemicals, polymers, insulation, plastics, building materials, steel or related manufacturing is an advantage.
• Experience with raw-material testing and finished-product assessment.
• Strong analytical and investigative ability.
• Knowledge of root-cause analysis and CAPA.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and address quality issues before products leave the factory.
• Ability to work closely with Production while maintaining independent quality standards.
