Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer – Freight Forwarding

Job Summary

• The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for monitoring operational processes across port locations to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and service delivery expectations.
• This role will conduct operational audits, identify quality and compliance gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and consistency across freight forwarding and logistics operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate operational activities across port locations to ensure adherence to company SOPs and quality standards.
• Conduct operational audits to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and internal process guidelines.
• Identify operational and compliance gaps and develop Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPA) to address issues.
• Perform root cause analysis on operational failures or service disruptions and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure alignment with port operational procedures, customs clearance processes, and logistics service delivery standards.
• Develop and track quality assurance metrics, operational KPIs, and performance dashboards.
• Prepare periodic quality assurance and audit reports for management review and decision-making.
• Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to strengthen service delivery and operational performance.
• Lead training sessions for operational teams on quality standards, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of operational audits, quality reports, and compliance records.
• Utilize digital quality management systems and operational platforms to monitor performance and generate insights.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, logistics operations, freight forwarding, or port operations.
• Demonstrated experience conducting operational audits and managing compliance processes.
• Experience working in technology-enabled or digital logistics environments is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar data analysis and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Competency and Skill Requirements:
Job-Related Skills:

• Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations, port logistics, and customs clearance processes.
• Proficiency in operational auditing, compliance monitoring, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPA).
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and operational performance monitoring tools.
• Ability to develop and track quality assurance KPIs, operational metrics, and performance dashboards.
• Experience with SOP documentation, process improvement, and operational workflow optimization.
• Familiarity with digital logistics platforms and technology-enabled operational systems.
• Strong documentation, audit reporting, and compliance tracking skills.
• Ability to train operational teams on quality standards, compliance protocols, and best practices.

Salary
N500,000 – N700,000 per month.
