Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join our team in Auchi, Edo State.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and standards for production and packaging processes.
• Monitor production activities to ensure products meet established quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
• Ensure compliance with relevant food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with the Production, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure consistent product quality.
• Monitor hygiene and sanitation standards within production and storage areas.
• Assist in reviewing and updating quality control procedures, SOPs, and documentation.
• Report quality concerns and recommendations to Management promptly.
• Support internal quality audits and ensure identified issues are properly addressed.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, food safety, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of food safety, quality management systems, and production processes.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, NAFDAC requirements, and other relevant food safety standards is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, inspection, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations.
• Ability to work effectively with production and operations teams.
• Must be willing to work in Auchi, Edo State.
