Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Purchase Excellence Senior Manager to lead procurement excellence initiatives, optimize purchasing processes, and drive supplier performance within a large manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage strategic procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials required for manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of inventory items used in manufacturing processes.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with OEMs and key suppliers.
• Apply techno-commercial expertise to optimize purchasing decisions, inventory levels, and reorder planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement lead times and cycle times are achieved.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies that improve cost efficiency and operational performance.
• Engage with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless progression from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) and goods receipt.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet required technical specifications and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving supplier performance.
• Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and performance standards.
• Lead and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience within a large manufacturing or building materials company is required.
• Experience in the ceramics, cement, glass, or related manufacturing industry will be a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
• Experience working with OEMs and industrial suppliers.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and techno-commercial skills.
• Proven ability to drive cost optimization and procurement excellence initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills.
