Job Title: Project Manager – Technology

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Overview

• The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering complex IT projects across infrastructure, applications, and ERP domains.
• This includes planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with organisational goals.
• The role requires strong project management expertise, stakeholder engagement, and technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including ERP implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and application deployments.
• Develop and manage project plans, scope, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants to ensure collaboration and accountability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issue resolution.
• Lead risk management, quality assurance, testing, and system integration activities.
• Manage change initiatives, including communication, training, and user adoption strategies.
• Document requirements, align outcomes with organisational strategy, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Mentor and guide project team members to promote capability development and high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP) preferred.
• 5–7 years of IT project management experience with a track record in large-scale infrastructure, application, or ERP projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana).
• Experience managing budgets, risks, vendors, and stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and ERP systems.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in change management and user adoption.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in utilities, government, or large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or IT service management frameworks.
• Background in cloud migration, cybersecurity, or enterprise software projects.
• Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams.
