Job Title: Project Manager (RHCC Project)

Location: Lagos (To work remotely and with weekly virtual /in-person meetings in the Lagos office with Country Committee)
Employment Type: 18-month contract (For the duration of the project)

About the Project

  • The Rotary Healthy Communities Challenge (RHCC) project is a four-country project which supports governments to implement integrated community case management, a globally recognized strategy to equip community health workers with training to diagnose and treat malaria, pneumonia, and diarrhea.
  • The RHCC project is jointly funded by the Rotary International Foundation and the Gates Foundation. In Nigeria, the project is led by a country committee, implemented by PATH, and the advocacy and community mobilization components led by Rotary District 9111 for the RHCC project.
  • The goal of the project is to reduce severe disease and death among children under five years and is focused on improving maternal and child health outcomes by strengthening community health systems across selected communities in Nigeria.
  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for the Rotary-led advocacy and social mobilization components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning and implementation of for Rotary District 9111 for the RHCC project
  • Develop detailed project work plans, budgets, and timelines
  • Coordinate field activities and supervise technical project staff
  • Ensure compliance with donor regulations and national health policies
  • Monitor project performance using KPIs and M&E frameworks
  • Prepare technical and financial reports
  • Manage stakeholder relationships including government agencies, partners, and donors
  • Ensure quality assurance and risk management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop advocacy and community engagement strategies
  • Document project successes, challenges, and solutions, as well as lessons learned throughout theproject.
  • Organize and participate in project and stakeholder meetings as appropriate.
  • Liaise or collaborate with the RHCC technical implementing partner.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Project Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing health or donor-funded projects
  • Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s health system
  • Experience in advocacy and community engagement.
  • Experience with donor compliance (e.g., USAID, Global Fund, World Bank projects)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
