Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results driven Project Manager to plan, coordinate, execute, and deliver projects successfully from initiation to completion.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, communication, planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate teams effectively, identify risks early, and ensure that project objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Initiation:

  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules.
  • Identify required resources, budgets, and project dependencies.
  • Establish project milestones and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate project kick-off meetings.

Project Execution & Coordination:

  • Coordinate project activities across departments and teams.
  • Assign responsibilities and track completion of tasks.
  • Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Coordinate internal and external vendors, consultants, and partners where required.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Develop and monitor project budgets.
  • Track project expenditure and ensure resources are used efficiently.
  • Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of people, materials, technology, and other resources.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a project risk and issue register.
  • Escalate critical issues to management promptly.
  • Resolve project challenges and remove operational bottlenecks.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for project stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication.
  • Organize project meetings and document decisions and action points.

Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation:

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and project completion reports.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Use project management dashboards to provide visibility on project performance.
  • Conduct project reviews and post-project evaluations.

Project Closure:

  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed and approved.
  • Coordinate final project documentation and handover.
  • Review project performance against objectives.
  • Document lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
  • Ensure outstanding issues are resolved before project closure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project management or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Monday.com, Jira, or Notion is an advantage.

Certifications (added advantage):
Candidates with any of the following certifications will be an advantage:

  • PMP – Project Management Professional
  • PRINCE2
  • CAPM
  • PMI-ACP
  • Agile Project Management Certification.

Remunerations

  • Salary: N400,000 – N750,000 monthly, depending on experience and qualifications.
