We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Abuja, Niger (Hybrid)
Job type: Full-time

About the Job

  • We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage contractors, contracts, timelines and budgets; and generally supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.
  • The PM will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind that pays attention to details, and great organizational skills.
  • The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding the budget.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and manage relationships with key stakeholders with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Plan all work assignments & operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met while considering changes in budget or scope during the execution of the contract.
  • Facilitate meetings between necessary parties and run agenda to bring projects to a timely completion.
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
  • Regular supervision and evaluation of progress accompanied with detailed reports
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Requirements and Skills

  • A Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science or relevant sector.
  • Proven experience as a project manager preferably in the construction sector.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, interior finishings and project management principles
  • A good knowledge of project management software – MS Projects & Primavera (either required).
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
