The Foundation is committed to improving access to quality education, health and strengthening livelihood opportunities for vulnerable populations through targeted community-based interventions.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract (50% Level of Effort)

Position Summary

• Under the supervision of the Organization’s Board of Incorporated Trustees, the project coordinator will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the Foundation’s education, health and livelihood projects.
• He/she will ensure that activities are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with project goals.
• He/she will also play a key role in building a strong project team by identifying and recruiting critical support roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed project work plans
• Coordinate project activities and supervise staff and volunteers
• Monitor project progress and track performance against set targets
• Manage project budgets and ensure proper financial tracking and reporting
• Engage stakeholders including schools, community leaders, and partners
• Lead headhunting and recruitment for key roles including Secretary, Finance Lead, Logistics Lead, and Communications Lead
• Ensure compliance with organizational constitution, policies and reporting standards
• Prepare and submit periodic technical and financial reports
• Organize meetings of members according to the organization constitution

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Sciences or a related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience
• Proven experience in education/health and/or livelihood senior management positions
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Membership of professional bodies such as ICAN or ANAN and/or Certification in project management is an added advantage
