Job Title: Production Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Production Accountant will be responsible for the management and handling of finance and budget throughout the course of the production.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of production budgets and forecasts
• Track production costs and expenditures, ensuring they are allocated correctly.
• Collaborate with production teams to gather necessary financial data and documentation.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist in month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with production accounting software and tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry-specific financial reporting standards.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with data entry and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.
