Job Title: Product Management and Marketing Instructor

Location: Lagos

  • We’re seeking a talented Product Management & Marketing Instructor to join our growing team and play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of product and marketing leaders.
  • You’ll leverage your industry expertise and teaching skills to develop and deliver engaging courses, fostering a dynamic learning environment where students can hone their product thinking, marketing strategy, and go-to-market skills.

Scope of Work

  • The scope of work encompasses delivering assigned courses, crafting engaging materials, facilitating assessments, providing feedback, offering student support, and contributing to program and curriculum development, all while adhering to professionalism, data privacy, and intellectual property standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create comprehensive learning materials, including lectures, design exercises, tutorials, and assessments, that align with assigned lesson plans and course objectives.
  • Deliver product management and marketing courses as scheduled, adhering to the outlined syllabus and ensuring all topics are covered comprehensively.
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills, engaging students effectively and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Possess prior experience in teaching or training, enabling effective delivery of complex subject matter and catering to diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate closely with staff and colleagues, sharing knowledge and resources to enhance the quality of instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Assess student learning using various assessment methods such as assignments, quizzes, and exams, while providing timely and actionable feedback.
  • Be accessible to students during designated office hours or by appointment, offering guidance and support throughout their learning journey.

Who You Are (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working in product management and/or marketing roles.
  • Proven teaching or training experience, demonstrating the ability to effectively deliver complex subject matter and cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of product management principles (e.g., product lifecycle, user research, product roadmaps) and marketing fundamentals (e.g., market research, customer segmentation, marketing channels).
  • Experience with product management and marketing tools (e.g., project management tools such as Asana, Trello, etc., and marketing automation tools such as Mailchimp, Google Analytics, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) used in product development.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Ability to effectively deliver complex subject matter to diverse learners.
  • Experience with developing and implementing various assessment methods (assignments, quizzes, exams) and providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization, meeting deadlines, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
