Job Title: Procurement Sourcing Specialist (Heavy-duty Equipment and Machinery)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Sourcing Specialist to manage our sourcing operations, with a strong focus on heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
• The ideal candidate will bring strategic procurement expertise, strong analytical acumen, and excellent negotiation skills to support cost-effective sourcing and vendor management efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for heavy-duty equipment and related machinery.
• Conduct thorough cost and financial analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with procurement objectives.
• Utilize ERP and procurement systems to track purchasing activities and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor market trends and supply chain risks that may impact sourcing decisions.
• Resolve supplier issues and disputes promptly to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar procurement or sourcing role.
• Strong background in sourcing and selling heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to prepare financial reports and conduct cost analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and software, particularly ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with global sourcing practices and vendor compliance requirements.
