Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Description

• We are looking for an organized procurement officer to handle purchasing. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in securing high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our business.
• You will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming stock, and be responsible for approving purchases.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and supplier selection processes.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
• Identify the purchasing needs of various departments (operations, Admin, Facility, etc.).
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
• Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
• Work with project engineers, quantity surveyors, and site managers to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Resolve issues related to defective materials or delivery delays.

Job Qualifications

• B.Sc. / HND in Business Admin, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in construction or real estate.
• Strong negotiation, vendor sourcing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory or ERP software is an added advantage.
• Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Salary
N100,000 – N180,000 / month.
