Job Title: Procurement Officer

Role Description

• D-Upstream Management Nigeria Limited is seeking a Procurement Officer for a full-time, on-site position in Calabar, Cross River State.
• The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), purchase orders, supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and end-to-end procurement activities.
• The role will also involve analyzing market trends, developing and maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring order status and delivery schedules, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and identifying opportunities to optimize procurement costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from RFQ issuance through order fulfillment and delivery.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, lead time, and reliability.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on RFQs and purchase orders.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Maintain strong and professional relationships with existing and prospective vendors.
• Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Conduct market research and monitor supplier and market trends.
• Review and compare supplier quotations and prepare procurement recommendations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and ensure procurement activities provide the best value for the company.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management and Procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to source, evaluate, and manage suppliers effectively.
• Good understanding of purchasing processes and vendor relationship management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management; or
• Fresh graduates who have completed NYSC are encouraged to apply.

Location Requirement:

• This position is open only to candidates currently residing in Calabar, Cross River State.
