We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Lead

Location: Rivers

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the pre-commissioning and commissioning team offshore, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in line with project schedules and procedures.
• Develop, review, and approve pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, test packs, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with the construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover of systems.
• Manage the execution of all pre-commissioning activities, including flushing, cleaning, pressure testing, and loop checks.
• Oversee the commissioning of systems, including function testing, start-up, and performance testing of equipment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with the client, third-party inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure all necessary quality and safety documentation (e.g., permits, certifications, test reports) is in place and properly managed.
• Track progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement solutions to keep the project on schedule.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the team, resolving issues that arise during pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a detailed log of all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and report progress regularly to management.
• Participate in all safety meetings and lead by example to promote a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• Education/Professional Certification: A Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 8years in a leadership role in offshore pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Demonstrated experience with system turnover from construction to commissioning
• Must hold valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certificate.
• This position requires working in a challenging offshore industrial environment on platforms or vessels.
• Strong technical knowledge of process systems, mechanical equipment, and instrumentation.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Proven ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control narratives.
• Thorough knowledge of industry standards and practices related to pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling software.
• Willingness to work in a demanding offshore environment and travel as required.
