We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Power Plant Electrician

Location: Lagos

Purpose

• To carry out routine operation, maintenance, and checks of power‑generating equipment, auxiliaries, and power distribution systems in order to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted power supply.

The Job

• Operate generating sets on a daily basis to ensure efficient and effective performance.
• Monitor generator and engine parameters and take corrective actions where necessary.
• Take and record hourly engine and generator readings.
• Conduct routine condition monitoring including visual inspections and sound checks.
• Troubleshoot generator faults and carry out electrical repairs and minor installations.
• Maintain electrical auxiliaries, alternators, motors, fans, and electrical panels.
• Carry out maintenance on HV, MV, and LV panels, equipment, and switchgears.
• Ensure cleanliness of engine rooms, control rooms, switch rooms, transformer house, and surrounding plant areas.
• Prepare and maintain shift and maintenance activity reports.

Qualifications

• 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English or OND in Electrical/Electronics.
• NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience in electrical or power plant operations.

The Person Must:

• Have good knowledge of power plant operations and generator systems.
• Possess strong electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Be safety‑conscious and detail‑oriented.
• Be willing to work in shifts and respond to operational demands.
