Job Title: Pouching Machine Operator – Food Manufacturing

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Job Summary

• We are a reputable and rapidly expanding food manufacturing company committed to producing safe, high-quality products.
• To strengthen our production operations, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pouching Machine Operator to join our team in Sagamu.
• The Pouching Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining pouching machines used for filling and sealing products in flexible packaging.
• The role requires technical competence, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency in all production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate pouching or cube counting machines according to established production parameters.
• Load and align packaging films, rolls, or laminates to ensure smooth machine operation.
• Monitor machine functions to maintain accurate filling, sealing, and cutting of pouches.
• Inspect finished pouches for seal integrity, print alignment, fill accuracy, and visual quality.
• Adjust machine settings as necessary to correct deviations or inconsistencies.
• Record production data, including output, downtime, and material usage.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of pouching machines.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve equipment or process issues promptly.
• Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and minimize waste.

Qualifications & Requirements

• OND / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating pouching, sachet, or packaging machines — preferably in a food or FMCG environment.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor machine faults.
• Familiarity with production equipment, control panels, and packaging processes.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to product quality.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and on shift schedules.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Sagamu — proximity is essential.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Salary: N100,000 – N150,000 Monthly (based on experience and competence).
