Job Title: POS Sales Officer (Agency Banking)

Job Summary

  • The POS Sales Officer is responsible for onboarding new merchants/agents, driving POS terminal distribution, increasing transaction volumes, and ensuring active usage of deployed terminals.
  • The role focuses on field sales, relationship management, and revenue growth within assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit new POS merchants and agency banking agents.
  • Promote and sell POS terminals and related financial services products.
  • Conduct field visits to markets, shops, and business hubs to acquire new clients.
  • Ensure proper KYC documentation and onboarding compliance.
  • Train merchants on how to use POS terminals effectively.
  • Drive transaction volume growth and monitor merchant performance.
  • Provide first-level support and escalate technical issues when necessary.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales and activity reports.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing merchants to ensure retention.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Number of POS terminals deployed
  • Active merchant count
  • Monthly transaction value & volume
  • Revenue generated
  • Merchant retention rate.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND / B.Sc.
  • 1 year of experience in POS sales, agency banking, fintech, or field sales.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets.
  • Good knowledge of local markets and business environments.
  • Basic understanding of financial services and digital payment systems.
  • Must be willing to work in the field.
