We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pipe Welder

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Execute welds during structural fabrication. Concentrated Works on Carbon steel in fillets welders and 2G / 5G / 6G positions with one of the following welding process SMAW or GTAW or FCAW (GS or SS) or GMAW
• Execute welds during structural and/or pipeline fabrication job in compliance with safety and quality. For Offshore Project the Welder will stay under the supervision of the welder foreman
• Be assigned to job such as structural construction, Piles and Deck Welding, piping activities
• Carry out the Welding work in the planned times and costs
• Insure the proper implementation of approved operating procedures
• Ensure observance of the project specifications
• Ensure that safety standards are respected
• Ensure that production quality and quantity standards are observed and issue the hand-over of completed works
• Carry out the welding qualification procedure and welder qualification tests when required
• Carry out the welders repairs or cosmetic weld toe adjustment in case of errors or defects
• Participate to pipe/plate fit up with the pipe fitting and spacer team
• Clean welds after each pass.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/OND in Engineering or related disciplines.
• 2 – 5 years of experience preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge and application of welding techniques (e.g. TIG, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, etc.)
• OPITO BOSIET
• Excellent knowledge of English language both written and spoken.
