We have a core team of 20 professionals, and network of +40 consultant partners across multiple African countries. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: People Operations Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Manpower Planning:

  • Provides strategic direction for workforce planning including succession and retention strategies.
  • Manages relationships with relevant coordinating entities to ensure effective implementation of the manpower plan.

Recruitment:

  • Determines and implements appropriate recruitment and talent acquisition strategy.
  • Develops, reviews and analyses proactive and cost-effective strategies aimed at hiring quality staff.
  • Monitors and reviews the recruitment and selection processes and provides leadership and innovative solutions for improving it.

Learning & Development:

  • Drive employee developmental programmes in alignment to business needs
  • Understands the links between human resource and organisational strategies
  • Establish performance indicators and measures for the effectiveness of human resource activities, services and programmes designed to support the organisation’s strategic and business goals
  • Review organisation’s strategic and business plans to identify areas impacting on human resource activities, services and programmes
  • Facilitate involvement of stakeholders to review human resource service effectiveness and clarify future expectations and requirements
  • Prioritise learning and development programmes to support employees in the development of their professional, technical and managerial competencies
  • Guide senior managers to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their personal development
  • Provide engagement strategies to improve organisational performance

People Management:

  • Drive talent management strategy and succession planning
  • Interpret organisational policies and impact of team performance using workforce intelligence
  • Drive employee engagement within department
  • Develop a succession planning strategy
  • Work with managers and identified successors to create and implement development and retention plans
  • Manage workplace culture and the effect of culture on staff morale
  • Drive talent development and retention strategy
  • Define competencies needed for team and/or department performance and development
  • Define team and/or department targets for alignment

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or other related fields
  • 6 – 8years of People Operations experience
  • At least 3 years operating as an HR consultant in a fast-changing environment

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • Must operate well with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload is critical
  • Recruiting skill set (sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding)
  • Excellent communicative skills (both verbal and written)
  • High motivation, a desire to win, and a desire to work for a winning organization
  • Adaptable to change in a fast-growing company
  • Must be self-disciplined, have great time management skills and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
    • Google Slides
    • Google docs
    • Google suits

Bonus Points:

  • The technical know-how of various HRIS Software applications such as HR Breezy
  • Flexible, start-up mindset. Should be able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about people development and the overall mission and vision on the Company
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR are a strong plus.

Salary
N400,000 – N600,000 monthly.
