Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with strong numerical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage payroll operations accurately and efficiently.
• The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with large datasets, performing payroll analysis, reconciling figures, and generating reports that support effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll accurately and ensure timely salary disbursement.
• Analyse payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues.
• Prepare payroll reports, cost analyses, reconciliations, and variance reports.
• Utilise advanced Excel functions to manage, analyse, and validate payroll data.
• Ensure accurate computation of salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and statutory contributions.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee compensation information.
• Ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.
• Support payroll audits and provide relevant reports and documentation when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in payroll administration, payroll analysis, or a similar role.
• Excellent Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions, data validation, and other advanced data analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex payroll data and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Experience working with payroll software or ERP systems.
• High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Salary
N290,000 – N350,000 Gross Monthly.
