Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater with strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, reshaping, aligning, and fitting vehicle body panels and structures to meet required engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and restore damaged vehicle body panels, doors, bonnets, roofs, fenders, and other body components.
• Straighten, reshape, align, and fit metal panels to the required specifications.
• Carry out panel beating, dent removal, cutting, fitting, and basic fabrication works.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, hydraulic equipment, and workshop machinery.
• Inspect vehicle body structures for dents, cracks, misalignment, and other defects.
• Ensure proper alignment and accurate fitting of vehicle body components.
• Work closely with Welders, Finishers, Painters, Auto Mechanics, Engineers, and other Production personnel.
• Apply practical engineering knowledge when assessing and repairing vehicle body structures.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication where required.
• Ensure repaired components meet required quality and safety standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Comply with company HSE procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Production or Engineering Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, NABTEB, Trade Test, or Technical College qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience as a Panel Beater, preferably in automobile manufacturing, vehicle bodywork, engineering, or a related industry.
• Strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes is required.
• Good knowledge of vehicle body structures, panel repair, alignment, and fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and measurements.
• Proficiency in the use of panel beating tools, grinders, hydraulic equipment, and other workshop tools.
• Ability to identify structural and bodywork defects and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically fit, reliable, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work effectively with Engineers, Technicians, and other production personnel.
