Job Title: Operator – Slitter / Metallizer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Slitter / Metallizer Operator to join our production team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating slitting or metallizing machines, ensuring products meet quality and production standards.
• You will monitor machine settings, conduct inspections, and ensure smooth machine operation during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Slitter Operator Duties:

• Set up and operate slitting machines to cut large rolls into narrower ones as per specifications.
• Monitor machine parameters and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform regular quality checks on finished rolls (e.g., width, tension, alignment).
• Load and unload rolls using appropriate equipment (e.g., hoists, pallet jacks).
• Record production data and downtime events accurately.
• Ensure proper labeling and packaging of slit rolls.

Metallizer Operator Duties:

• Set up and operate metallizing machines to apply a thin metallic layer to films or foils.
• Monitor vacuum systems, tension controls, and coating parameters.
• Ensure metallized film meets thickness, adhesion, and visual quality standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and report malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical diploma preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating slitting or metallizing machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with film, foil, or flexible packaging materials is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, machine settings, and technical drawings.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working in shifts and in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 per month.
