Description

• Are you an experienced Operations Manager who understands what it takes to keep a fast-paced real estate and construction business running efficiently?
• We are looking for a highly organised, hands-on and solution-driven Operations Manager with practical experience in the real estate/construction industryto oversee the day-to-day operational and logistics activities of the business.
• This is not a desk-only role. We need someone who understands sites, vehicles, materials, logistics, vendors, administrative operations and the realities of getting things done on the ground.

Key Responsibilties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company across offices, construction sites, stores and other business locations.
• Coordinating logistics and ensuring that operational needs across different sites are attended to promptly.
• Monitoring and coordinating operations assigned vehicles, drivers and vehicle movements.
• Planning and supervising inter-site movement of materials, tools, equipment and other resources.
• Coordinating with site teams to understand and resolve daily operational demands.
• Ensuring that sites receive required materials, equipment and other operational support when needed.
• Ensuring all company vehicles have valid documentation, including insurance, roadworthiness certificates, licences, vehicle particulars and other statutory papers.
• Ensuring proper documentation and logbooks are maintained for vehicles and movements.
• Coordinating movement of materials between sites, warehouses, stores and other company locations.
• Supporting the procurement and site teams with logistics and operational coordination.
• Supervising logistics boys, assigned drivers and other operational support personnel.
• Coordinating emergency and urgent operational requests from project sites.
• Ensuring site-related operational challenges are escalated and resolved promptly.
• Supporting project teams in removing operational bottlenecks that may affect site productivity.
• Ensuring company assets are properly utilised, tracked and maintained.
• Ensuring operational policies and procedures are followed across sites and locations.
• Identifying inefficiencies in existing operational processes and implementing practical solutions.
• Working closely with Management to ensure the smooth execution of business operations.
• Taking ownership of operational problems and ensuring they are followed through to resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, preferably within a real estate development or construction company.
• Proven practical experience managing vehicles, logistics, sites and general business operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lagos logistics and movement.
• Good knowledge of construction-site operational requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and operational reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple operational requests simultaneously.
• Important: Candidates without practical experience in real estate/construction operations may not be suitable for this role.
