Job Title: Operations / Business Development Manager

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking a dynamic, high-performing Operations / Business Development Manager to spearhead both our internal logistics efficiency and our outward market expansion.
  • In this dual-focus role, you will lead daily fleet and ground operations while actively identifying new revenue streams, securing corporate client contracts, and driving business growth from our Gbagada hub.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth:

  • Identify, pitch to, and onboard new corporate clients, e-commerce partners, and bulk freight contract opportunities.
  • Develop strategic growth plans to expand market share and service footprints in key target regions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key business stakeholders and institutional clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to position Golden Fleet Logistics as the preferred service provider.

Operations & Fleet Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day dispatch, transport, and delivery operations to guarantee maximum speed and safety.
  • Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of logistics coordinators, drivers, and frontline ground crew.
  • Optimize delivery routes, manage resource allocation, and implement strict cost-control measures on fuel and maintenance.
  • Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously streamline workflows.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s Degree (M.Sc / MBA) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Marketing, or a related field is compulsory.
  • First Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc/HND) in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience: Proven, combined experience in logistics operations management and B2B corporate sales/business development.
  • NYSC: Must have completed NYSC (NYSC Certificate mandatory).
  • Driving Ability: Must hold a valid driver’s license and be confidently able to drive.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, advanced negotiation, and executive-level communication skills.
