Job Title: Operation Officer (ICU)

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Officer to support the smooth running and financial performance of our ICU operations.
• The successful candidate will oversee billing accuracy, monitor revenue and service costs, track essential stock availability, follow up on operational issues and prepare basic reports to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Billing and Revenue Monitoring: Review daily patient bills for accuracy, identify billing errors, monitor deposits and outstanding balances, and ensure proper reconciliation of bills and payments.
• Stock Monitoring: Monitor the availability of essential medications, consumables and supplies, identify potential shortages, track usage and flag wastage or discrepancies.
• Operational Follow-up: Follow up on equipment faults, maintenance needs, pending repairs, supply delays and other issues affecting ICU operations, escalating unresolved concerns promptly.
• Cost and Financial Monitoring: Monitor major service expenses, compare ICU revenue against operating costs, identify unusual expenditure and recommend ways to minimise wastage.
• Records and Reporting: Maintain basic records of patient activity, admissions, discharges and services rendered. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on billing, revenue, expenses, stock concerns and operational issues.
• Accountability and Coordination: Work closely with the pharmacy, clinical, admin, client service and finance teams to resolve operational gaps, follow up on pending actions and provide timely updates to management.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to review figures, identify discrepancies and prepare simple reports.
• – Good organisational skills and ability to work with different departments.
