We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operation Manager – Genesis Hotels (Female)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • A Hotel Operations Manager oversees daily activities, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage, to ensure high guest satisfaction, efficient service, and profitability.
  • They manage staff rotas, handle guest complaints, maintain safety standards, and monitor budgets to optimize revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and F&B to ensure seamless service.
  • Guest Service Excellence: Proactively handle guest complaints, monitor feedback, and maintain high service standards to improve online reviews.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, lead, and schedule staff across departments, ensuring compliance with brand standards and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Financial Management: Manage operational budgets, control costs, monitor revenue streams, and ensure par levels for supplies (linens, amenities) are maintained.
  • Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular safety audits, fire walks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintenance & Improvement: Coordinate scheduled maintenance, refurbishments, and respond to facility issues.

Requirements & Skills

  • Experience: Usually 3–5 years in a 3–5 star hotel, with experience as a Deputy Manager, Asst. Operations Manager, or similar role.
  • Education: Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Property Management Software (PMS) and MS Office.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work under pressure and resolve guest problems efficiently.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
