Job Title: Online Mathematics Tutor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Description

• The Online Mathematics Tutor will provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions to students in various mathematical subjects, from elementary to advanced levels.
• They’ll be responsible for creating and delivering engaging, effective, and personalized learning experiences via an online platform.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online tutoring sessions on a scheduled basis.
• Tailor teaching methods to suit individual student learning styles and needs.
• Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare and create supplementary learning materials (e.g., worksheets, quizzes).
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Education & Experience

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• A master’s degree or higher is a plus.
• Experience: At least 3 years previous experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics is required.
• Experience with online teaching is highly desirable.

Skills:

• Exceptional mathematical proficiency across a range of subjects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently.
• Patience and empathy to motivate students with different learning abilities.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in online teaching tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, interactive whiteboards).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple students and schedules.

• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
• High-quality webcam and microphone for clear communication.
• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends is often required to accommodate student schedules.

Remuneration

• Compensation for this position is competitive and offered on an hourly basis.
