Job Title: Modern Trade Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Modern Trade Manager to lead our modern trade business in different region in Nigeria.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for executing modern trade strategies to drive growth, increase market share, and improve customer satisfaction in the region’s modern trade channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute modern trade sales strategies: Implement sales plans, achieve sales targets, and drive growth, increase market share, and improve customer satisfaction in the modern trade channel.
• Build and maintain relationships with key modern trade customers: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail chains, hypermarkets, supermarkets, and e-commerce platforms.
• Negotiate and manage trade agreements: Negotiate terms, conditions, and contracts with key accounts to secure favorable agreements and ensure compliance.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity: Monitor competitor activities and industry trends. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market intelligence.
• Lead and manage a team of sales representatives: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share.
• Provide market feedback and insights: Provide regular market feedback and insights to Management, including competitor activity, customer needs, and market trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field:
• Experience: Proven experience as a modern trade Manager or in a similar role within the consumer goods industry.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of modern trade practices, retail operations, and market dynamics. Familiarity with consumer behavior and trends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience in analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, are required.
