We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Microbiology Officer

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

The Purpose

• To assist and support the Microbiologist in ensuring water and products are safe and wholesome for consumption and within NIS standards.

Duties

• Samples collection from different locations.
• Media preparation and sterilization.
• Cleaning of glassware and sterilization.
• Perform water analysis.
• Analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
• General laboratory hygiene maintenance and equipment cleaning.
• Maintains accurate logbooks and complete documentation as required.
• Develop and maintain validation in all protocols for various environmental controls.
• Perform tests on component samples, identify any contamination, and initiate corrective measures.
• Assist in the maintenance of GMP and food safety culture.

Qualifications

• BSc / HND / B.Eng in Civil Engineering.
• COREN, NSE, and PMP will be an added advantage.
• 5 years’ experience post-professional qualification.

The Person Must:

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
• Excellent skills in lab testing and analysis.
• Possess good use of equipment for culturing and physio-chemical analysis of water.
• Must have good housekeeping skills.
• Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
