Job Title: Medical Record Officer I

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage patient records and ensure their accuracy and confidentiality.
• Update and organize medical records in both physical and electronic formats.
• Retrieve patient records for medical staff and ensure timely availability.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and data analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
• Provide support in managing specialty clinics, including scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Health Information Management or related field.
• 2 years proven experience as a Medical Record Officer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-centric mindset with a focus on providing exceptional service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Health Information Management.
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting.
